The Athletic Trainer (NATA Certified) serves as a primary athletic trainer for our Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving programs. As part of Virginia Tech Athletics Sports Medicine area, this position reports directly to the Assistant AD / Sports Medicine.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree or a bachelor's degree with relevant athletic training/sports medicine experience in a collegiate Division I "Power 4" athletic department.
National Athletic Trainers Association certification.
Commitment to diversity.

Preferred Qualifications

Sports medicine experience with a Division I Swimming and/or Diving program.
Additional higher education in related area.
Additional certification in CPR/First Aid.
Teaching experience.
Research experience.
