Nevada Athletics is recruiting for a Coordinator/Senior Academic Coordinator (Football Lead), for our Athletic Academic Services area.  This position will be the lead advisor for football academics.

 

The Coordinator and Senior Coordinator of Athletic Academic Services positions are responsible for academic advising of student-athletes and development and growth of a successful student-athlete advising program. These functions are necessary to provide each student-athlete with a successful college experience by providing the assistance necessary to ensure a balance between academic success and athletics while working toward the ultimate goal of graduation and personal growth.  

 

The Coordinator assists in advising student-athletes on class schedules in the context of mandated Conference and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regulations relative to progress toward graduation; monitors academic progress; serves as liaison between coaching staff, departmental advisors and university student services, and Admissions and Records; staffs the Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) Study Center and computer lab; and assists in recruitment process. 

 

In addition to the above duties, the Senior Coordinator also manages all admissions and NCAA eligibility processes for incoming student-athletes. This individual is also responsible for student-athlete development—career growth opportunities, acclimation to college, post-graduate goals and community service.

 

Required Qualifications **Candidates will be hired at the level that is comparable to their experience, knowledge, skills and abilities

Coordinator

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience; OR a master’s degree and one year of related work experience.

Related Experience: work experience in student services or intercollegiate athletics or related.

 

Senior Coordinator

Bachelor’s Degree and three years of related work experience; OR a master’s degree and two years of related work experience.

Related Experience: work experience in student services or intercollegiate athletics or related.

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees
