Salary: $22.75-$25.50
Essential Job Duties:
Manage faculty-led program development and implementation
Work collaboratively with faculty and on-site partners to establish meaningful, location-specific learning opportunities for a suite of semester and J term programs
Arrange logistics (lodging, tickets, visas, etc.) for program and participants
Develop, manage, and reconcile program budget
Maintain study abroad database program page, enrollments, and required paperwork
Support partner university and provider study abroad/away programs
Develop budgets and pay invoices
Support transfer credit programs
Advising
Provide knowledgeable and inclusive advising to students to include program selection, program characteristics/costs, financial aid/scholarships, registration/credit transfer, college policies, health and safety, and cross-cultural adjustments
Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community
Improve Smith Center student services with an eye to equity/inclusion and efficiency/standardization of process
Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle
Perform other duties as assigned
Work Schedule:
Term: Year-round
Shift: Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm. Flexible work arrangements can be proposed and are subject to approval by HR and relevant supervisors, occasional evening or weekend hours for special events; travel up to 2% of the work schedule, which includes local (Twin Cities metro area) and national travel; overnight trips average 2 trips per year
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree; maintain a valid passport
Experience: 2+ years of experience working in international education
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field
Experience: 2+ years of experience with study abroad/away program management; experience working with Terra Dotta
Prerequisites:
Employment in this position is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check, which may include criminal background checks, reference checks, verification of work history, verification of any required academic credentials, licenses, and/or certifications, a motor vehicle check, verification of a DOT certification, a credit check, employment eligibility verification, and/or a pre-employment physical.
