Sport Management – Administration:
Primary liaison to the League’s Sport Management Committee, including the implementation of policies and procedures related to the governance of League sports, as well as coordination of all meetings.
Oversight and management of all League head coaches’ groups.
Coordinate the development of schedules for sports where the League governs regular season competition.
Oversight of officiating programs and supervisors/assignors, and management of the officials’ background checks program.
Sport Management – Championships:
Oversight and management of the planning and administration of the League’s 23 championships.
Impact - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:
Primary liaison to the League’s Anti-Racism Commission.
Oversight of all DEI programming, including the League’s Pathway Program.
Coordinate and manage the League’s equity, diversity and inclusion review as required by NCAA Bylaw 20.3.4.2.
Impact - Student-Athlete Engagement:
Provide leadership for the League’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and coordinate all of the League’s student-athlete engagement activities.
Primary liaison to the League’s Leadership Academy.
In conjunction with the Associate Commissioner for Compliance and Policy, support activities related to the participation of student-athlete representatives in the League and NCAA governance structures.
Other Responsibilities:
Assist the Commissioner in the management of the League’s Code of Conduct.
Travel to League and NCAA events throughout the academic year to represent the League office and cultivate relationships with League membership.
Serve as the point person for planning and negotiation for meeting space and hotel arrangements for select League meetings and other special events.
The position reports to the Commissioner and will have other duties as assigned by the Commissioner.
Leadership and Management:
Provide leadership and promote the professional development of all League staff members.
Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
Develop and manage strong relationships with coaches and administrators from League institutions and outside constituent groups.
Lead and facilitate League meetings.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Qualified candidates should have at least six (6) years of experience working in higher education or national governing bodies, with a preference for service experience within membership organizations.
Applicants must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to take initiative and make sound decisions with little or no direction.
Ability to meet deadlines and to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
Travel and evening and weekend work are required.
The League office offers a flexible work structure; however, the successful candidate will be required to work in-person at the League office in Bethlehem, PA multiple days per week.
The position requires proof of eligibility to work in the United States, and pre-employment checks including but not limited to social security verification, educational verification, and county and state criminal background checks.

The role and function of the Patriot League office is to provide programs and services for and on behalf of the member institutions at the campus, conference and national levels. Working in a collaborative manner with the membership, the League office strives to provide support and a high level of service to the membership in a way that enhances institutional and League-wide efforts related to intercollegiate athletic programs and higher education.
The League office is headquartered in downtown Bethlehem, part of the Lehigh Valley in Eastern Pennsylvania. New York City is 70 miles east and Philadelphia is 60 miles south of Bethlehem.
