Description

The transfer team lead will be a key member of the team responsible for determining eligibility of students with a break and transfers in the NAIA Eligibility Center. The individual will organize the team’s workload and maintain eligibility processing resources, standard operating procedures and training materials.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or comparable experience); at least two years of relevant work experience, ability to handle a variety of tasks, work under deadlines and effectively lead a team; effective problem-solving skills; ability to learn and process large amounts of information; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to provide exceptional customer service under pressure; ability to handle student academic records and other sensitive information in confidence. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following

Support the NAIA Eligibility Center’s mission of getting the right students into competition at the right time. Develop and exhibit leadership through consistent, active, and positive engagement in company initiatives. Contribute to the creation of a culture of service excellence, defined by a high degree of commitment, attitude and action. Consistently demonstrate a first-in/last-out, servant leadership mentality, ensuring continuity of leadership responsibilities. Facilitate cross-team communication and collaboration. Accurately apply NAIA Bylaws and eligibility center policy to all incoming student-athletes.

Maintain telephone and e-mail communications with key stakeholders. Help hire, staff, and conduct performance management for domestic managers, coordinator(s), and seasonal workforce. Contribute to meeting budget and revenue goals through fiscal responsibility. Report, track and communicate team scorecard numbers including identifying trends and proposing future process improvements. Facilitate cross-training efforts with full-time staff members. 

Complete quality control activities, track results and make adjustments to training, as needed. Ensure the team meets all quality expectations and service metrics. 

Regularly stay abreast of changes in higher education and college athletics compliance. Contribute to membership services as liaison to the Registrars’ Association. Assist with documents processing, foundations functions, and customer relations for other teams as needed. All other duties as assigned.
