Women Leaders currently serves nearly 6,000 members representing 600+ institutions, sports teams, and sports businesses nationwide.

Women Leaders is currently seeking applicants for a dynamic Membership Operations and Engagement – Junior Associate to join its energetic and collaborative team located in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a full-time, 12-month, paid position, beginning immediately with an annual salary of $30,000 and with the option to immediately make contributions to a 401(k) plan with employer matching.

Internship duties will include, but are not limited to: Assisting in all aspects of membership development, including membership retention, recruitment, and overall 
engagement. Promoting member opportunities and benefits, including Member Circles, Rising Stars, Career Connect, Happy Hours, and more. 

General Responsibilities: 
• Assist in all membership services efforts, including retention of current members and recruitment of new members. 
• Maintenance of membership database and general systems support.  
• Assist in the facilitation of member benefits such as Member Circles, Mentor Match Program, New Member Experience calls and much more. 
• Manage customer service and general inquiries  
• Track on the advancement of women working in sport.  
• Assist with management of the Membership Committee, Awards Committee and Mentor Match Program. 
• Day-to-day administrative tasks and other duties, as assigned. 
• Report to Director of Membership Engagement and Manager of Membership Operations and Insights.

Preferred Qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s degree required. 
• Eagerness to take initiative. 
• A passion for women’s leadership and career advancement. 
• Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) and Zoom platforms 
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. 
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent organizational skills with proven attention to detail. 
• Strong oral and written communication skills. 
• Willingness to learn systems and databases. 
• Demonstrated passion and ability to foster relationships with a diverse group of people 
• Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) and Zoom platforms 
• An ability to flex and pivot across several projects that require different ways of thinking and working 
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment (and we mean FAST!) 
• Highly coachable and hungry for feedback to get better and excel in the role. 
• An optimist who sees challenges as opportunities and believes everything is “figure-out-able”. 

Junior Associate Period: 1 year from the start date
