The Department of Athletics at Kutztown University invites applications for the position of Head Acrobatics & Tumbling Coach. Kutztown University is an NCAA Division II member institution which competes in the Mountain East Conference (MEC) in the sport of acrobatics and tumbling. The Head Coach is responsible for all phases of the acrobatics & tumbling program including recruitment of prospective student-athletes, academic success of student-athletes, game preparation and strategy, supervision of assistant coaches, scheduling, organizing camps and clinics in support of Kutztown Athletics, fundraising, adherence to NCAA and NCATA rules and regulations, and general administrative duties. In addition, the Head Coach will be responsible for supporting the philosophy, goals, and mission of the University and its Intercollegiate Athletics program as well as adherence to Departmental, University, Conference and NCAA policies and procedures.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree
Must have at least 5 years combined playing and/or coaching experience in the sport of acrobatics and tumbling, gymnastics or related sport
Demonstrated ability in skill development, staff supervision, and general administrative duties
An understanding of NCATA rules compliance
Prior successful experience in recruiting qualified student-athletes
Fiscal management skills
Excellent organizational and communications skills
Candidate must complete a successful interview
Head coaching experience at the NCATA collegiate level
Coaching experience at NCAA DII institution
