Oversees marketing research activities through internal and external partnerships and will provide ongoing benchmarking, dashboard monitoring, and research intelligence to support data based branding, marketing, and communications decisions.
Duties include:
Oversees the marketing of designated sports as assigned by the Director of Marketing. Ensures assigned sports are effectively and proactively marketed to students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the local community.
Acts as departmental liaison with game entertainment service providers and gameday freelance staff members.
Adhere to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, conference, and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Assistant Athletic Director, Fan Experience. Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and be responsible for the monitoring of any subordinate as it relates to NCAA regulations.
Responsible for overseeing and leading other full and part-time staff members, as well as student interns.
Collaborates with the division of External and Strategic Communications on matters of university-wide relevance including home game events and fan events on campus.
Plans game entertainment through on-field activities, public address, in-game hosts, video boards, and music.
Represents the University and Department in a professional manner at athletics meetings and conferences.
Conducts performance evaluations of supervised employees and makes recommendations to the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Brand Advancement for merit increases, promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
Carries out responsibility for unifying brand identity standards for the athletics department.
Promotes the athletics department, along with its teams and student-athletes at a high level throughout campus and the community.
Initiates grass roots marketing campaigns to help drive attendance at athletics events and revenue growth.
Assists in graphic design for video board elements and printed collateral.
Leads the strategic planning for assigned function, with general guidance from senior leadership
Analyzes the efficiency of the function in all areas and makes recommendations for improvements.
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four (4) years of experience or Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience.
