The Head Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Coach is responsible for organizing and administering all phases of the cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field programs, including but not limited to student-athlete skill and leadership development, the recruitment of outstanding student-athletes, practice organization, meet day coaching, budget management, and scheduling and supervision of assistant coaches. Teaching in the physical education and wellness curriculum is also expected. An appreciation and understanding of the role athletics and physical education play in a rigorous academic setting is essential.
Bachelor’s degree and First Aid/CPR/AED certification are required; master's degree is preferred. Demonstrated coaching, recruiting, and teaching experience are required. All candidates should possess an understanding of the role physical education and athletics play in a rigorous academic setting and an ability to identify and attract outstanding students to the College.
Initial appointment is for one year; after a successful review, reappointment is for a three-year period.
