Head Women's Flag Football & Assistant Football Coach

Head Women’s Flag Football Coach (50%)

  • Launch, lead, and manage the women’s flag football program in accordance with Bethany College, conference, and governing body (NCAA emerging sport) guidelines.

  • Recruit and retain academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.

  • Plan and conduct practices, training sessions, and competitive game strategies.

  • Oversee team travel, equipment needs, and budget management.

  • Promote academic success, leadership development, and personal growth among student-athletes.

  • Serve as a positive ambassador for the program in the community and with prospective students.

Assistant Football Coach – Position Coach (50%)

  • Assist in the planning, organization, and supervision of daily football operations as directed by the Head Football Coach.

  • Coach a specific position group (e.g., defensive backs, running backs, linebackers, etc.).

  • Participate in recruiting efforts including off-campus evaluation and on-campus visits.

  • Support film breakdown, scouting reports, and practice/game preparation.

  • Assist with team travel, equipment coordination, and student-athlete development.

  • Uphold all institutional, conference, and NCAA Division III compliance standards.

Bethany offers 23 teams on the intercollegiate level. Our athletes compete at the NCAA Division III level. Bethany teams have a long-time tradition of not only competing for conference championships, but also for appearances in postseason play. Bison athletic programs are affiliated with the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC). Our Bison compete against several other top liberal arts colleges from the region. In its history, Bethany’s accomplishments include the 1994 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer National Championship,100+ Presidents’ Athletic Conference championships, 70+ NCAA Tournament Appearances, and 50+ ECAC Championship appearances.

Minimum qualifications include:

A bachelor's degree, a valid driver's license, and 1-3 years of appropriate experience recruiting and coaching in the sport of women's flag football and offenisve men's football positions coach. Preference will be given to candidates with a master's degree and proven recruiting and coaching experience at the intercollegiate level. Knowledge of and adherence to Bethany, NCAA Division III, and Presidents' Athletic Conference rules and regulations are also required.
