Description
The Atlantic 10 Conference is accepting applications for the Atlantic 10 Don DiJulia Athletic Director Internship. The candidate must submit a standard application and a 250-500 word essay on their career aspirations in intercollegiate athletics. The internship is dedicated to work in administration, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball and Olympic Sports. Mentoring opportunities within the Atlantic 10 membership and a rotation of administrative responsibilities within the A-10 Office.
Duties
Assist with the preparation and operation of assigned conference championships.
Provide support for regular season administration, research, and data management.
Coordinate community outreach programs for selected sports (i.e. school days and clinics) at selected championships.
Assist with host institutions/site preparation and sport committees.
Provide on-site championship support and staffing as needed.
Assist administration with membership meetings and committee preparation.
Assist with administrative duties including filing, data management, and special projects.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with an emphasis on attention to detail, work ethic, honesty, and loyalty.
Strong computer skills with including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite encouraged.
Volunteer and/or paid experience in administration and/or sport event management.
This is a paid monthly stipend. Candidates must secure their own housing.

The mission of the Atlantic 10 is to provide an enhanced student-athlete experience through 23 nationally competitive championship sports.
