Responsibilities
Communications and Media Relations:
Primary media contact for women’s basketball and other Olympic sports as assigned.
Maintain records, notes and awards, and oversees statistics utilizing current statistical technology in assigned sports.
Plan and execute women’s basketball media days and assist with men’s basketball media day.
Work directly with women’s basketball administrative staff on women’s basketball regular season and championship administration to increase exposure, brand awareness and media opportunities.
Assist in media monitoring and cultivation of media influencers in the sport of Women’s Basketball.
Work with championships staff on administration and promotion of assigned championship events, serving as the Media Relations Director.
Produce selected publications both written and digital (record books, basketball program, A-10 directory)
Work cooperatively with the advanced media staff to ensure proper media presentation of the Atlantic 10 brand.
Be available to the Commissioner for the writing of press releases, features and social media posts.
Special projects and writing for Commissioner and Senior Staff on an as-needed basis.
Represent the Atlantic 10 at selected regular season games, postseason contests and other events.
Serve as liaison with campus sports information personnel, providing leadership where necessary.
Track all public news as it relates to the A-10 and/or member institutions.
Graphic Design, Website and Social Media:
Use and stay current on emerging technologies to promote the Atlantic 10 brand through advanced media, inclusive of all platforms.
Provide support to the Atlantic10.com website provider for maintenance in conjunction with the communications and advanced media staff.
Work in concert with the advanced media staff on branding, graphic design themes and implementation. Develop advertisements, game day graphics, promotional pieces and other graphic elements for use in print and digital platforms as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree (Masters Preferred) with 3-5 years of experience in athletic communications, media relations, graphic design and social media management. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) required. The position will be based out of Washington, D.C.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
